Exchange Rate: Naira Falls To A New Low

The naira fell to a new low of 414 against the United States dollar on Sunday amid the continued scarcity of foreign exchange in the country, with economic experts predicting further pressure in the forex market this week.

The development came five days after the Central Bank of Nigeria had banned nine commercial banks from the forex market for failing to remit the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s $2.334bn into the Treasury Single Account in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive last September.

The naira was exchange  at 414/dollar across some black market segments in Lagos and Abuja on Sunday. It hit an all-time low of 412 against the greenback at the parallel market on Friday, after closing at 409/dollar on Thursday.

A day after the CBN banned the nine banks from the forex market, the Naira depreciated to 402/dollar, down from the 397 it closed against the greenback on Tuesday.Forex dealers said the demand pressure on the dollar, mounted by travellers and parents paying schools fees of their children studying overseas.

The currency dealers said the naira started falling after the CBN banned the lenders from forex transactions.

The Chief Executive Officer, Cowry Asset Management Limited, Mr.
Johnson Chukwu, said,“The decline of the naira against the dollar is
beyond the recent suspension of some banks from the forex market. We
have witnessed suspension of banks in the past, and it did not lead to any
spike in exchange rate. The major challenge we have now is supply
shortage. If that improves, naira will stabilise.”

He futher said the naira might hit a low of 420 to the dollar this week.

Senate To Investigate Humanitarian Aid Crisis In IDPs’ Camps – Saraki

Senate president, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki yesterday declared that the Senate will investigate the severe hunger crisis in the IDPs camps in the North-east.

this was disclosed yesterday through his  special adviser  on Media and Publicity, Mr. Yusuf Olaniyonu.

Last week Thursday, there was a protest by hundreds of women from camps in Borno State
Who barricaded the Maiduguri-Kano/Jos Road.

Reacting to the protest,Saraki described The development as desperate, stressing better
coordination among government and international aid agencies. He also called for the need for a more effective and efficient humanitaal aid agencies. He also called for the need for a more effective and efficient humanitarian response to address the dire situation.

“It is important that we all focus on eliminating the coordination, access and food supply issues hindering us from successfully feeding the millions of IDPs. This is particularly important for the many children who are dying daily from starvation. It should break every
Nigerian’s heart to know that our own women and children are enduring such horrendous hardships,” he said

He further called on the police, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other law enforcement agencies to quickly move to investigate the diversion of food aid
deliveries, stressing that government officials and contractors should be held to account for how truckloads of foods and other relief materials intended for the IDP camps  went missing.

“Anyone that is found to be diverting the food aid deliveries should be investigated and brought to book if investigations prove their participation in these vicious schemes. Profiting from a complex humanitarian crisis is unacceptable. The people of the North-east have suffered enough indignities in the past four years from the marauding Boko Haram terrorists. Stealing food meant for starving children is beyond the pale and only adds insult to injury”, Saraki stated.

Saraki had recently called for an international summit on the North-east, similar to the one held in London for Syria which raised about $10 million. He also plans to offer a motion on the situation in the North-east when the Senate reconvenes from recess next month. The motion specifically calls for the establishment of a Senate Ad-Hoc Committee on the North-east.

Additionally, the motion will call for the conduct of a public hearing for the purpose of the Senate to use its oversight powers to review Nigeria’s humanitarian policies, better
understand the current humanitarian coordination infrastructure and hear testimony from witnesses representing the government, humanitarian experts and the IDPs themselves.

“The situation in the North-east has been under-reported and underresourced for far too many years. In terms of scale and complexity, the situation in the North-east is more dire than South Sudan. Yet, apparently the crisis appears not to be sexy or star-studded enough
to attract greater international attention and support”, he stated.

MY COMMENTS ON CHIBOK GIRLS HAVE BEEN POLITICISED – PMB

President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated the preparedness of the Federal Government to discuss the release of the Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram terror group since 2014,
In an interview with journalists in Nairobi,Kenya at theweekend,PresidentBuhari in astatement byhis seniorspecial assistant, media, Garba Shehu said the Nigerian government is ready to dialogue with bonafide leaders of the terror group who know the whereabouts of the girls.

‘‘I have made a couple of comments on the Chibok girls and it seems to me that much of it has been politicised.
‘‘What we said is that the government which I preside over is prepared
to talk to bonafide leaders of Boko Haram.

‘‘If they do not want to talk to us directly, let them pick an internationally recognised Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), convince them that they are holding the girls and that they wantNigeria to release a number of Boko Haram leaders in detention, which they are supposed to know.

‘‘If they do it through the ‘modified leadership’ of Boko Haram and they talk with an internationally recognised NGO then Nigeria will be prepared to discuss for their release,’’ he said.

President Buhari, who spoke to the media on the margins of the sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD VI), warned that the Nigerian Government will not waste it's time and resources with “doubtful and untrue sources’’ claiming to know the whereabouts of the missing girls.
‘‘We want those girls out and safe. The faster we can recover them
and hand them over to their parents, the better for us.’’

He (Buhari) maintained that the terror group, which pledged allegiance to ISIS, has been siverely reduced and almost completely destroyed by the  Nigerian military with the support of immediate neighbours Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Benin.

‘‘Some of the information about the division in Boko Haram is alreadyin the press and I have read in the papers about the conflict in their leadership.‘‘The person known in Nigeria as their leader, we understand was edged out and the Nigerian members of Boko Haram started turningbthemselves to the Nigerian military.

‘‘We learnt that in an air strike by the Nigeria Air Force he waswounded. Indeed their top hierarchy and lower cadre have a problem and we know this because when we came into power, they were holding 14 out of the 774 local governments in Nigeria. But now they
are not holding any territory and they have split to small groups attacking soft targets.

On the militancy in the Niger Delta , the President said the Federal Government is also open to dialogue to resolve all contending
issues in the area because a one Nigeria is not negotiable.

‘‘We do not believe that they (the militants) have announced ceasefire. We are trying to understand them more. Who are their leaders and which areas do they operate and other relevant issues,’’ he said.

!Sex Before Marriage Is OK As Long As ... – Pastor Reveals

pastor Bromleigh McCleneghan has written a book which says it’s okay for singles to indulge in S3@.x:’before marriage, Christian or not.

Having S3@.x:’ outside marriage even though accepted by society, is frowned upon by
christians, because sex was supposed to be a sacred union for only the married.

But, Bromleigh McCleneghan, has attempted to explain why it may be okay to actually indulge in ‘guilt-free’ S3@.x:’ even as a single christian who doesn’t conform tothe world (okay na).

According to her, it’s okay to have S3@.x:’ along as it’s “mutually pleasurable and
affirming“. She also said it’s not by force to stay off S3@.x:’, especially if you became
single by circumstance.

The married mother of three who is also an associate pastor at the Union Church of
Hinsdale in Chicago, USA, said it’s also great to be faithful to your S3@.x:’ual partner,
even if you are both unmarried.
Here’s what she said below:

“If we refrain from having S3@.x:’ that isn’t mutually pleasurable and affirming, that
doesn’t respect the sacred worth of ourselves and our partners…
Chastity, or just S3@.x:’, requires that whether we are married or unmarried, our S3@.x:’
lives restrain our egos, restrain our desire for physical pleasure when pursuing it would
bring harm to self or other.”

GOVERNOR BEN AYADE AND THE NEW PAYMENT STYLE OF APPOINTEES IN CROSS RIVER STATE. By Ifere

Mr Paul ifere in a Facebook post yesterday 27/08/16 reported on the alleged new method of payment of CRS appointees adopted by Gov. Ben Ayade .

Read his post below:

"The Cross River State government has brought out a new style of payment to its
numerous appointees.

According to reliable information, the government is now giving its appointees a
particular form to fill. Appointees are mandated to sign that they have been paid a
certain amount which is what the revenue mobilization has authorized.
Going by the over bloated appointments in the promise to expand his administration
and job creation, Ben Ayade of Cross River State has so far appointed over 1000
people into his exco. Appointees were made to accept to sign an undertaking for a 50%
cut in salaries.

                                                                           Paul IFere

Some of the appointees who had collected their letters of appointment has since began
collecting the other 50% of their salaries.
However, following an EFCC discovery of financial misappropriation and a deficit of over
700 Million Naira in government account books, the Governor has issued another type
of form to all appointees to sign. The form mandates the appointees to sign a certain
amount of money they have never been paid since they resumed their new
appointment.

A little breakdown of the new swindling scheme is as follows:

1. PAs that are paid 150 Thousand Naira are made to sign that they have been
collecting 300 Thousand Naira.

2. SAs that are paid 200 Thousand Naira are made to sign that they have been
collecting 400 Thousand Naira.

3. Commissioners that are paid 250 are made to sign that they have been collecting
500 Thousand Naira.

4. Board Chairmen & Chairwomen that have been collecting 400-500 Thousand Naira
are now made to sign that they have been collecting 800 Thousand Naira-I Million Naira.

According to a confidante in the government house, this scheme has been going on
secretly ever since the time EFCC started inviting members of the State Executives.
It is however unclear what the government intends to achieve now since EFCC has
already established that monies have been misappropriated and all records are right
now undergoing a forensic study. Most family members of the Ayade family who are
appointees have all signed the new form and are encouraging their close friends to
comply with the governor unless they want to be sacked.
This story has already been confirmed by appointees who have signed the forms and a
lot others that refused signing. One appointee who took the form home, was
encouraged by his family not to sign such form. Describing it the highest scam of all
times."

Huh?..Ingredients in soda that harm your health

Toxic Ingredients in coke, fanta, sprite and others that Harm Your Health

Ingredients in Soda that Harm Your Health

When it comes to quenching thirst, many adults opt for sodas over water.
Soda, also known as a soft drink, carbonated drink and sugary drink, typically contains carbonated water, a sweetener and a natural or artificial flavoring. It may also contain caffeine, colorings, preservatives and other ingredients.
Along with its taste, easy availability and low price, smart marketing strategies have made soda very popular. In fact, many people are addicted to soda.
To assess regular soda and sugary fruit drink consumption among adults in 18 states, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention analyzed data from the 2012 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System.
The analysis found that 26.3 percent of adults in those states consumed regular soda, fruit drinks or both more than once daily. Overall, intake of regular soda or fruit drinks was most common among people age 18 to 34 years old.
Setting aside the popularity factor, soda can cause an array of negative effects in your body.
When you drink soda, the first thing that strikes your taste buds is its sweet taste. It is high in sugar content.

It is a known fact that sugar is bad for your health. Sugar increases insulin levels, which can lead to diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, premature aging and many more negative side effects.

Plus, there is absolutely no nutritional value in soda. In fact, excess soda intake has been linked to several health problems, including obesity and poor dental and joint health.

1. Phosphoric Acid
Phosphoric acid is a key constituent in sodas. It is mainly used to give the characteristic strong flavor and to inhibit the development of mold and bacteria in sodas.
When used in limited amounts, phosphoric acid is not harmful to the body, but high doses interfere with the body’s absorption of the mineral calcium. Lack of calcium can lead to weakened bones. It can even make teeth softer and more prone to decay.
A 2006 study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition reports that colas, but not other carbonated beverages, are associated with low bone mineral density in older women due to the caffeine and phosphoric acid they contain.
A 2010 study published in the FASEB Journal found that mice with high phosphate levels died five weeks earlier than mice with normal phosphate levels.
The high phosphoric acid present in soda beverages can also affect the functioning of your stomach, leading to indigestion, gassiness or bloating.

2. High Fructose Corn Syrup
High fructose corn syrup is a concentrated form of sugar derived from corn. As it is cheaper and easier to use than natural sugar, most soda manufacturers use it in place of regular sugar. Plus, it has a long shelf life.
A 2004 study published in the American Journal of Nutrition reports that excessive intake of calorie-rich soda containing high fructose corn syrup is a major cause of obesity.
A 2010 study published in Current Hypertension Reports states that high fructose corn syrup increases the risk of metabolic syndrome.
Moreover, there is a high chance that the high fructose corn syrup used in sodas is from genetically modified (GM) crops. There is a lot of controversy regarding the side effects of GM foods on the immune system, brain and liver health.

3. Citric Acid
The citric acid present in both regular and diet sodas is another harmful ingredient, especially for your oral health.
The biggest issue with citric acid is that it can damage the enamel of the teeth. Damage to this protective layer can make teeth more prone to cavities, discoloration and ultimately tooth decay.
A 2013 study published in the journal of the Academy of General Dentistry states that the citric acid present in regular and diet sodas can cause tooth erosion.
This study even reports that a person who consumed 2 liters of diet soda daily for three to five years displayed the same severe tooth erosion as a methamphetamine addict and cocaine addict.

4. Sodium Benzoate
Sodium benzoate, also known as E211, is used as preservative in soft drinks as well as pickles, salad dressings, fruit juices, jams and jelly to prevent molding.
E211 may cause serious cell damage and accelerate cell aging.
A 2015 study published in BioMed Research International reports that sodium benzoate may cause DNA damage. It had mutagenic and cytotoxic toxicity in lymphocytes caused by micronucleus formation and chromosome break.

5. Caramel Color and Artificial Dyes
Caramel coloring gives the classic brown color to colas. This and other artificial dyes used in sodas can increase your risk of cancer.
A 2015 study published in PLOS One reports that the caramel color in soft drinks and exposure to 4-methylimidazole can increase cancer risks and burdens.
Another yellow dye called tartrazine found in lemony soft drinks also increases cancer risk.
According to a 2015 study published in Anticancer Research, prolonged consumption of tartrazine can cause cancer.
This chemical also has been known to increase asthma attacks and exacerbate asthma symptoms.

6. Caffeine
Most sodas contain caffeine, as it adds a slight bitterness and works well to enhance the taste of both sugar and sweeteners. The amount of caffeine varies among soda brands but is usually between 34 and 38 milligrams per 12-ounce serving.
Excess caffeine has been linked to certain health problems.

Tips to Reduce Your Soda Consumption and Minimize Its Effects
Replace soda with healthier drinks, such as fresh juices, smoothies, or herbal teas.To quench your thirst, water is the best drink in the world. If you do not like water, try flavored water. If you drink soda, drink it in moderation and don’t sip it for extended periods of time. After drinking, swish your mouth out with water to dilute the acid and sugar..

How states squandered FG bailout funds ON APRIL 23, 2016

MOST of the 23 states that got bail out cash from the federal government for the settlement of arrears of workers’ salaries and emoluments, diverted the funds for other purposes, thereby defeating the purpose of the government’s effort to provide succour for the workers.

A comprehensive analysis carried out by the  Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offences Commission, ICPC, in conjunction with the Nigeria Labour Congress,  revealed last night that many of the states deliberately lied that they were owing their workers huge debts when the reverse was the case.

A major feature of the analysis released by the ICPC and signed by its Commissioner for Public Enlightenment, indicated that many of the states failed to apply the amount received from the federal government to settle their indebtedness to their workers, leaving them enmeshed in huge arrears of salaries to the staff despite collecting the bailout cash.

A breakdown of the analysis indicates that out of the 27 states that applied for the fund, only 23 had been paid by the Central Bank of Nigeria as at the end of December 2015.

The benefiting states are: Adamawa, Bauchi,  Benue, Cross River, Ekiti, Katsina, Gombe, Kogi, Nasarawa, Niger, Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Plateau, Sokoto, Kwara, Bayelsa and Imo.

Others are: Enugu, Oyo, Delta, Kebbi and Zamfara.

Of particular concern to the ICPC, is the case of Zamfara State, which applied for N32.5bn  but as at the time of collecting N10 billion from the federal government for workers’ arrears, the state was reportedly not indebted to any of its workers.

But after receiving the cash, the state government made overtures to its House of Assembly to approve the use of the money for the settlement of indebtedness to contractors and other purposes.

The House of Assembly thereafter approved the disbursement of the money as follows:

* Outstanding of payment to 14 LGS of the State: N4,262,560,629.83

* Outstanding payment of fertilizer for 2014 farming season: N3,056,300,000.00

* Outstanding certificate for construction of Bungudu-Nahuche Kyabarawa Road 22.6Km: N265,256,342.76

* Outstanding certificate of Hostel Block at Abdu Gusau Polytechnic. T/Mafara:N55,000,000.00

* Payment of outstanding cost of Vehicles supplied to State: N319,430,000.00

* Outstanding certificate of construction work at K/Namoda Juma’at Mosque: N20,4 79,100.39

* Outstanding certificate of construction work at Emir’s Palace. Gusau: N6,020,000.00

* Share of 14 Local Government Councils Bailout: N2,035,705,000.00.

In a different dimension of misuse, Imo State, which collected the sum of N26,806,430.000.00 from the CBN, paid the amount into two commercial banks and transferred part of the money into uses not related to workers salaries.

The ICPC said it discovered that N2 billion was lodged into a Government House Account, N2 billion paid into Imo State Project Account, while another N2 billion was lodged in a micro-finance bank and a ‘management fee’ of N21 million paid into an unspecified account out of the bailout fund received by  the state. Similarly,

Adamawa State got N9,578,360, 000.00 as bailout cash but disbursed only N2,378,360,000.00 with a balance of N7,200,000,000.00. According to the report, the state could not adduce any reason for the slow process of off-setting the debt as at the time of the report. However, the state claimed not to owe outstanding salaries as at September, 2015.

In the case of Bauchi State,  the report shows that out of the N8.609.100.000.00 it received as bail-out fund, it disbursed N8.4I4.088,383.26 with a balance of N95.011.616.74. The State claimed not to owe salaries as at September. 201 5.

Analysis of the documents submitted revealed a double payment of N37,760,000.00 in favour of Office of the Deputy Governor. The ICPC said it was investigating the double payment to the Deputy Governor.

Cross River State  is said to have received N7.856,400.000.00 as bailout fund and disbursed N3.140.883.040.77 with a balance of N4.715,516.959.23. However the State claimed not to have outstanding salaries to workers as at 19/11/2015.

There is no better time than now for the EFCC to Revisit the multi billion naira
money-laundry allegations in the House of Representatives The money laundry
issues has become a pattern over the years in the House.

It is time for the anti-corruption agencies to move in decisively! Speaker Dogara
and his internally and external corrupt group have embarked on a very expensive
media campaign to damage my reputation, I urge them to rather prepare for
their imminent prosecution. No amount of media propaganda, blackmail or
intimidation can stop me. They are very bitter because I have turned down a
"family resolution" to the crisis.

We never knew the economy was this bad- APC National chairman, Oyegun

The National chairman of the  APC John Odigie-Oyegun yesterday said during the election
campaigns in 2015, the party (APC) knew that things in Nigeria were bad but never knew how
bad it was. Oyegun said this while speaking at a  birthday party held for him by
staff of the APC national secretariat in Abuja yesterday August 12th.

Read what he said below

“It has been tough times for the nation. When we were campaigning and it is
necessary to continue to hammer on this part, we were not in government.
We knew things were very bad, but we did not know they were as bad as we
eventually found them and the revelations that come out everyday continue to
buttress that fact. Nobody ever expected the price of crude to collapse in the
way it has done and one can only repeat what Mr. President said a few days
ago.
That is for being a nation that had an excess crude account, today because of
the collapse of the price of crude, a lot of states of this country do not have
enough resources to meet their basic functions, responsibilities. That we would
never again depend on a single crop whether it is oil, whether it is solid minerals,
whether it is agriculture.
The president is laying a single foundation, very solid foundation, for the take-off
of this nation such that all the resources that God has endowed this nation with,
whether it is in solid minerals that it is plentiful, whether it is in agriculture, we
can grow virtually anything in this nation of ours we have been blessed with rich
soil.
The Nigeria of tomorrow would be a Nigeria that produces, the Nigeria of
tomorrow would be a Nigeria that can give employment to its youth. The Nigeria
of the tomorrow would be a nation that would provide plentiful opportunities for
its people that is the Nigeria Buhari is presently constructing.”

My sexy pregnant wife - Article by Charly Boy

Read his article below...

I remember back in the days, when I was in the baby making business. I always
admired, loved, pampered and overprotected my wife, more. That's how come I
was witness to the birth of our last two girls, (now grown ass women). Yea, I
loved her more each time I gave her a Big Bang belly.

She glowed more, in my eyes she was sexier,(still is). Don't know about you, but there
is something sexy about pregnant women that always suggests that they should be
treated and handled with tender, loving, care. They are not only special but sexy as well.
I loved to watch her body change, her hips become wider, her butt grows bigger, her
boobs become fuller, her belly is exciting, her navel is sensual; she is pleasant to look
at, a full woman. Hey! hold whatever thought is brewing in your head. This was some
26yrs ago, wish we had IPhones then, I would have shared her pictures with you. She
was sexy gaga. No be yoke!

Some women are unlovable when they are pregnant. Forget the ones who are forming
self-reliant because this pushes the man away making him irrelevant. Some men too
can be an ass when it comes to taking care of their pregnant woman. However, most
pregnant women love to be pampered, she wants her man to treat her like a Queen.
Men love to be needed, they love to feel important, they love being the hero, it is a big
turn on for a lotta men. Walaiii. Many pregnant women radiates a glow. Their skin, their
body, their smile, their voice lights up because life is growing inside them.

She is beautiful, desiring to love and be loved. My guy, when your woman is pregnant,
celebrate her new form of sexiness, don’t chase after other women. She is pregnant
and sexy; but most important, she is carrying your child, a child you manufactured when
her sexy self gave you great sex! Hummmmm!!! Freaky Dicky. This is for all the mothers
to be, who are right now with Big Bang Belly. Just to say, you all are beautiful. If you
feel like sharing Gods creative work with us by way of a decent sexy picture, go ahead
and show the world your glow, as long as your man no mind, the rest can jump into
the gutter. Keep glowing Sexy Mama.

                                                 FRSC Boss: Boboye Oyeyemi

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) on Wednesday said that the presidency
had approved October 1 for the commencement of implementation and enforcement of
the Speed Limiting Device.

Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi , the Corps Marshal, FRSC, disclosed this in Abuja while briefing
stakeholders on the new date for the implementation and enforcement of the device.
He said that the implementation and enforcement of the device witnessed four
postponements from its initial launching date of June 1, 2015, before its final approval
by the presidency.
“The final directive from the presidency is clear; the enforcement date for
the implementation of the speed limiting device is on Oct. 1 and we have
had series of stakeholders meeting. The essence of today’s meeting is to finally convey the directive of the federal government to the stakeholders that with effect from October 1, the
implementation and enforcement would commence. We already have the portal that we will use to monitor this, we don’t need to pursue any vehicle, we will just stop you like we verify licence.
On the tablet we will check whether your vehicle has been installed withthe device, if it has not, we will impound the vehicle and we make sure that you do the right thing.
We are not talking about fines now ,it’s to save lives so we will impound the vehicle then the owner of the vehicle will be made to install the device
before the journey continues,” Dr oyeyemi said
O
According to him, the corps would do this for the next three to six months to achieve
enforcement and compliance so as to compel commercial vehicles to install the device.
He said the FRSC was only concerned about commercial vehicles installing it for now,
adding that with time the enforcement would extend to private vehicles so as to cut

El-Rufai accuses CBN of casuing massive job loss all over the country

The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, at a special edition roundtable organised by
Women in Business, a non-profit women advocacy organisation, in Abuja on
Wednesday, lamented the Central Bank’s prevailing fiscal regime, saying the bank’s 14%
monetary policy rate has led to massive job losses all over the country. He added
that CBN risked losing its power to set lending rates for commercial banks unless it
immediately addresses the current dire situation.
He said only those who don't operate genuine business could successfully operate
under the current fiscal policy atmosphere.
He said:
“We have a Central Bank that has an MPR at - what?- 14% and banks lending at
20%. Only traders and drug dealers can make money at this interest rate.
“I have said it before and I will repeat it again, unless the Central Bank and the
banking system make a conscious decision to bring interest rate down, one day
we would legislate it.”

Revealed: Who Renovated CRS Governor's Lodge? - ifere Paul

According to a Facebook post my Mr. Paul Ifere which reads:

"I have been reading claims on the internet that Governor Ben Ayade renovated the
Cross River State Governor's Lodge.

This impression is created to raise Governor Ben Ayade's ego.According to information from staff working at the Lodge, Governor Ben Ayade has never visited the Lodge since he was sworn in as governor. The information also provided that a Yoruba man who was staying at the Lodge paid for all the renovation of the Cross River State Governor's Lodge, Abuja. Governor Ayade hearing that a man was fixing the place paid a visit to the Governor's Lodge for the first time in his governorship life. When the governor got there, other thanking the man,
he rather asked the man why he had to renovate the place.

It was also revealed that the man got so angry with the governor's action that he had
to just walk away leaving the governor standing there there like dundee.
It was then the governor ask his media team to go and take pictures of the Liason
Office to deceive Cross Riverians that he did the job.

It should be remembered that Governor Ayade has claimed that it was State
government that was fixing the bad spots Faith Quarry was fixing on the Calabar-Ikom
highway. A reliable source said that ever since the harassment and arrest of Faith
Quarry employees mobilized to fix those bad spots, the road has deteriorated." He said

TRANSFER ZONE :MAN UTD COMPLETE POGBA SIGNING

The France midfielder has returned to Old Trafford from Juventus, a mere four
years after departing the club for a nominal fee, and becomes the most
expensive transfer ever in football history.

Manchester United have completed the signing of Paul Pogba from Juventus.
Pogba left United to join Juve in 2012 but Jose Mourinho has now re-acquired
the France international midfielder for a world-record transfer fee.
The 23-year-old, who has long been linked with a return to his former club, has now
become the most expensive player in football history for a record £92m, overtaking real Madrid's Gareth Bale in the world's most expensive players rankings.

"Manchester United is delighted to announce that Paul Pogba has completed his
transfer from Italian club Juventus," the club wrote on their official website.
"Paul joins on a five-year contract, with the option to extend for a further year."

Pogba is reported to earn an astonishing £104m pre-tax salary over five years,
a figure that put off Real Madrid, who were also in the running for his signature,
with Cristiano Ronaldo the only Los Blancos star to earn more than that amount.
The Frenchman made just seven appearances during his formal spell at united, and failed to complete 90 minutes in the Premier League under Sir Alex Ferguson.

But while there was some bitterness on both sides at his departure for Italy,
Pogba has made the decision to rejoin the club as they look to improve, return to champions league football and as well challenge for the EPL title, after finishing 5th last season after finishing 5th under Louis van Gaal in 2015-16.
The transfer represents the latest and 4th arrival under Mourinho, with United having
having already acquired the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly.

Mr. Ifere paul , a known critic of Gov. Ben ayade in his Facebook post today reported that:

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) stormed the residence of Frank Ayade
who is notably called the co-governor moment after he escaped to China deceiving
Cross Riverians that he was on investment mission.

Although security details at the residence refused the operatives to search the place.
They however have decided to confiscate the property. Policemen posted at the Mega
Hilton Hotel also prevented the EFCC from searching the hotel.

The EFCC has however obtained all the accounts operated by Frank Ayade, and which
were used to launder money belonging to Cross River State. Speaking with a source
close to the investigation, Ifere was told that the EFCC will any moment from now
declare Frank Ayade wanted if he fails to give himself up for interrogation.

According to him he  petitioned the government of Cross River State over the

I wasn't part of the 2016 budget padding- Abdulmumin Jibrin says

In an interview with Channels TV which was aired yesterday evening,
sacked chairman of the House of the Representatives Committee on Appropriation,
Abdulmumin Jibrin, says he was never part of the 2016 padding which he described as
insertion.
Read what he said:

"Well, I wasn't part of the insertions but I think I also didn't help myself because I
started speaking quite late. The event that pushed me to start talking doesn't
look too attractive to people because they are saying why am I talking now that I
have left the position".
In the interview he denied claims of inserting projects worth N4.1 billion for his
constituency into the budget
"Absolutely false. My problem is that I wasn't talking. I came into the National
Assembly pretty young and psychologically, you are made to believe that when
you are chairman of appropriation, you have to be secretive"he said.
When asked if the House of Representatives is corrupt, Jibrin said "There is corruption
in the house of Representatives. There is institutional corruption and these are things I
can prove".
According to him, Former President Olusegun Obasanjo wasn't completely wrong
when he described the National Assembly as a house filled with rogues and thieves
"Obasanjo is not completely wrong. There is corruption. The only thing is that we
keep living in denial. I have been part of the system and I know there is
corruption in the system and there is also institutional corruption in that
system"he said.
Jibrin says even though he has been in the house for 5 years, he has never been
involved in any act of corruption.
"I have never been in any act corruption. I have never shared money in the
National assembly. Never!"
